A few years back, my husband and I had the pleasure of exploring Maymount Park in Richmond, Virginia. The gardens there were absolutely stunning, and I couldn't help but be captivated by their beauty. As I leisurely walked through the pergola, a wave of tranquility washed over me, and I felt completely at ease. It was in that moment that I realized I wanted to paint this garden, to capture the serenity and contentment that filled my mind that day.

Abaco, Bahamas architecture is well-known for its incorporation of British, French, Spanish, Dutch, and Portuguese colonial architectural elements. This particular style is characterized by its symmetrical designs, grand central entrances adorned with decorative pediments such as columns and pillars, and the presence of window shutters. The influence of Georgian and Neoclassical architectural styles, which were prevalent during The Bahamas' time as a British colony, is also evident in the symmetrical structures and imposing columns.
As I captured this picturesque scene on canvas, I couldn't help but feel transported to the enchanting allure of the island, fully immersing myself in the fragrances that filled the air. Abaco is truly a place that embodies both rich history and natural beauty.

As I walked by this sculpture, it served as a powerful reminder that a mother's affection for her children is limitless.
As I lingered there, I couldn't help but contemplate the countless displays of love and sacrifice exhibited by mothers all around the world daily. From the moment of conception, a mother's love starts to blossom, nurturing her child both physically and emotionally. It is a love that endures the challenges and hardships of life, a love that remains unwavering even in the midst of adversity. This artwork serves as a testament to the boundless love that mothers possess.

The Four Arts Garden is a hidden gem in Palm Beach, Florida. As I wandered through the garden, I came upon the reflection pool and I thought of a quote, whose origin I couldn't recall, it spoke of the profound connection between our choices and the various aspects of our lives. It reminded me that every decision we make, no matter how small, has the power to shape our reality. Just as the reflection pool mirrored the world around it, our lives reflect the choices we make. I am reminded of the importance of mindful decision-making and the impact it can have on our lives. The painting is not just t just a work of art; it is a testament to the power we hold in shaping our own destinies.

Northwood, located in Palm Beach, Florida, was constructed amidst a building surge in Palm Beach County back in 1920. The neighborhood continues to exude the enchanting appeal of that time period. Strolling down the street with my camera, I stumbled upon a scene that encapsulated the essence of Northwood - a man walking by, embodying its unique charm.

During our trip to Savannah, Georgia, my spouse and I attended a Blues concert at the park. On our return, we came across a charming bed and breakfast with a restaurant on the upper floor. The queue was quite lengthy, with a wait time of two hours. My husband was not keen on waiting for that long, which left me slightly disheartened. Nevertheless, I captured a photo of the bed and breakfast and later decided to paint it.
